Help Prevent Homelessness on Cape Cod

In 1994 a group of concerned residents decided to address the reality of homeless families being housed in motels in Yarmouth. This led to the formation of the Yarmouth Ecumenical Council for the Homeless. Shortly thereafter, Dennis joined in and the group became the Dennis/Yarmouth

Ecumenical Council for the Prevention of Homelessness (DYECH). Today it is comprised of thirteen area Christian parishes.

One of the methods for fund raising is through the sale of gift cards from various participating

businesses. The gift cards are purchased and sold at face value. For every dollar spent, a percentage goes directly to the Housing Assistance Corporation (HAC) and used for the prevention of homelessness. The gift cards, available in a variety of denominations, can be redeemed at businesses such as grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, and retail stores.

Why not purchase a DYECH gift card and spend your usual amount while doing your regular shopping for groceries, toiletries, prescriptions, restaurants, coffee, and other purchases? By buying any of these gift cards, you will be contributing to solutions for those who find themselves without a home -- and at no additional cost to you!

This is a win-win scenario!

You may purchase your DYECH gift cards in Howes Hall any Sunday after worship, or contact the church office for more info.
