The First Congregational Church of Yarmouth has everything you need to make your wedding day a lovely, memorable event.  Our air-conditioned sanctuary is beautiful, fronted by our magnificent, historic Hook & Hastings organ.

Prior to the wedding, the couple will need to meet with the pastor for premarital instruction and to decide on vows.  This can be arranged at your convenience.  The wedding coordinator will then assist the bride in executing every detail of the wedding, from the tiniest but critical detail — one of the bridesmaids has a rip in her dress and needs a safety pin — to the more public aspects of the event — positions in the receiving line, placement of flowers, photography, videography, music, and so on.  The wedding coordinator and members of the wedding committee are with you every step of the way.  They are there to make your day worry-free.

While the bride gets ready for the event, groomsmen will wait in our charming Morse Room together with family members who wish to join them.  Our wedding coordinator or one of the members of our wedding committee will talk with them about greeting and ushering.

The bride, her entourage, and family members who wish to be there will gather in Howes Hall, our air-conditioned fellowship hall.  There are stairs from Howes Hall to the back of the church, so no one will see the bride until she walks down the aisle.  There is a lovely ladies room in the hall and a full-length mirror will have been brought to the area where the bride and bridesmaids get ready.

If you are interested in having your wedding at the First Congregational Church of Yarmouth, please call the office to get started.  Some preliminary questionnaires and background material will be mailed to you.  Once you return them and the date is reserved, you are well on your way to having the wedding of your dreams.
