Facilities

We make certain that we keep our church beautiful, fully functional, and comfortable, internally and externally.  During 2015 and 2016, we put new shingles on the church roof and the Thrift Shop roof.  We installed air conditioning in our sanctuary and in Howes Hall — our fellowship hall where many kinds of events take place such as coffee hour, concerts, Boy Scouts, craft fairs, classes, conferences, and our comprehensive, beautifully decorated and well-attended Christmas Fair.

We installed an elevator for use by those who use walkers and wheelchairs — members and friends who otherwise could not easily attend coffee hour and other events in our fellowship hall one floor below our sanctuary and offices.  Our two bathrooms in Howes Hall were fully renovated and redesigned, one of which is wheelchair accessible.

Earlier we built cement ramps on the side of the building that are wheelchair accessible and used by many to enter our sanctuary.  Most recently we built a beautiful computer lab in our Sunday school wing.

Our facilities are used by a variety of groups and organizations on a rental basis and at reasonable rates.  If you are looking for a place to hold your event, meeting, concert, rummage sale, or other event, please call our office for a tour and rental fees, which are half price for nonprofit organizations.

Rooms available for rental include our lovely, air-conditioned Sanctuary for weddings, memorial services, and occasionally concerts; Howes Hall, our large fellowship hall, also air-conditioned, that can accommodate approximately 150 people for concerts, conferences, classes, meetings, town elections, wedding receptions, and the like; the Kitchen, frequently used together with Howes Hall if a luncheon, refreshments, or just coffee will be served, and we've hosted cooking classes in the kitchen too; our All-Purpose Room, a small room off the kitchen for either food preparation for a large crowd or for a small meeting; the Conference Room, a small room with a large table, chairs, and a coffee pot, that may be used for small meetings of up to six or seven people; and finally the elegant, beautifully decorated Morse Room complete with upholstered sofa and chairs, greenery, art, extra chairs, and a large table in the center with a lace tablecloth.
